Wirelessly sync POV shots with wrist data.
The RoboCap + RoboWrist bundle captures from two points on the body at once. RoboCap's six-camera setup records the first-person view and surrounding environment, while RoboWrist's camera captures the hands doing the work.
Together, they turn a single session into the fuller dataset robotics R&D labs need, including:
| Cameras |
6 Rolling Shutter cameras total: 4 wide-angle environment and 2 downward-facing |
| Field of view |
Front cameras: 152° horizontal, 108° vertical; Additional coverage from fisheye side cameras (96° horizontal, 173° vertical)
|
| Wrist capture |
RoboWrist camera for manipulation-level hand detail (bundle only) |
| Motion sensing |
Dual 6-DOF IMUs, 200 Hz |
| Weight |
RoboCap: 256g RoboWrist: 87g each |
| Battery life |
RoboCap: powered by any standard power bank (not included) with 10,000 mAh bringing 5.5 hours of continuous recording. Higher-capacity battery packs can achieve 10+ hours of recording
RoboWrist: 3-hour internal battery (charge via included USB-C)
|
| Storage |
215GB onboard eMMC |
| Connectivity |
WiFi to sync additional devices and access Control Panel; companion app coming soon |
| Data export |
Rerun and Hugging Face ready; open-source MCAP converter
|
| Calibration |
Per-cap calibration files included |
| Data enrichment |
Grounded API by GSI: state-of-the-art SLAM and hand tracking, sub-centimeter depth at manipulation range, automatic per-session calibration |
Now integrated with MX Matrix Gloves.
RoboCap now works with MX Matrix Gloves from Matrix Inno, adding glove-based hand sensing to every capture session. RoboCap's cameras record what the hands are doing, while the gloves measure how every finger moves, even when the hands leave the frame.
Together, they bring better data for dexterous manipulation training, including:
| Hand motion |
19 sensing channels per glove: 15 bend and 4 stretch, used to estimate 20+ degrees of freedom per hand |
| Vision + glove sensing |
Head-mounted depth camera calibrates the glove's hand estimates; glove sensors keep measuring finger movement when hands are out of view |
| Accuracy |
±1° joint angle and ±3 mm fingertip positioning |
| Design |
Soft, thin gloves with no rigid exoskeleton, designed for natural hand movement |
| Battery life |
Up to 9 hours |
| Sensor durability |
Sensor elements tested through 500,000+ cycles at over 20% elongation |
